Market Focus

Hemdek is a managed manufacturing service, founded by four mechanical engineers with deep roots in one of South India's most established precision manufacturing heartlands, a region built on the legacy of family-owned industrial businesses.

Our goal is clear: to bring that manufacturing depth to European industry as a fully managed service. Structured, engineering-led, UK-incorporated, and accountable from specification to delivery.

“With production expertise embedded in our cluster and a commercial presence in the UK, our buyers get world-class manufacturing capability through a single, trusted point of contact.”

Our Vision

“To make managed manufacturing the global standard for how industry sources, builds, and delivers the parts that move the world.”

Our Mission

“To build a globally trusted managed manufacturing platform, delivering precision-built custom parts with engineering accountability at every stage.”

FAQs

What file formats do you accept for quotation?

We accept STEP (.stp / .step) and IGES (.igs) for 3D geometry, PDF and DXF for 2D drawings, and DWG for laser cutting and sheet metal work. If you have only a sketch or a PDF without a 3D model, our engineering team can still review it and provide an indicative quote.

What are your standard production lead times?

Typical lead times are 7 to 14 working days for CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication, and 10 to 18 working days for metal 3D printing. Complex geometries, tight tolerances, or special surface treatments may require additional time. Expedited turnaround is available on request.

Do you offer surface finishing and special treatments?

Yes. Available finishes include anodising (hard and decorative), electroless nickel plating, zinc plating, powder coating, shot blasting, and passivation. Heat treatment options include case hardening, through hardening, and stress relieving. All requirements should be specified on your drawing or in the order notes.

How does the quoting and order confirmation process work?

Upload your drawing and we will return a full itemised quote within one business day. Once you approve the quote, we issue a formal order acknowledgement and begin production planning. You receive updates at key milestones, and we manage inspection, packing, and delivery directly.

Can you handle both prototype quantities and production runs?

Yes. We regularly produce single prototypes and first-off samples as well as series runs of hundreds or thousands of parts. There is no minimum order quantity. Pricing and scheduling are adjusted to suit the batch size and complexity of each job.
